Ariana Rockefeller, a great-great-granddaughter of John D. Rockefeller’s, is making a name for herself in fashion.
The 32-year-old Columbia political science grad was influenced by her megafamous — and megawealthy — family for her latest collection of women’s clothes.
“I was inspired by English fox-hunting scenes, which my great-grandparents collected and had in their stables,” she tells Threads of a print tunic dress in olive green and navy called the Nadia.
“Being part of the Rockefeller family, I am aware that the Industrial Era is what most people associate with the Rockefeller name. That time had a very specific look and it’s a very classic style, which I wanted to honor in this collection.”
New looks from the line, which launched in 2011, are being sold at a pop-up shop on Broome Street, open through Nov. 29.
